Most people know Chuck Norris for his TV show Walker, Texas Ranger, and some of his later films. A Force of One is an early Chuck Norris film. Basically this film is about police officers who are killed by someone who uses martial arts to defeat the officers. The police decided that the officers need martial arts training, which is taught by Matt Logan (Chuck Norris) who is also a pro kickboxer. What makes this more than just average is that Bill "Superfoot" Wallace is in this film. Wallace was the current Middleweight Kickboxing World Champion during the making of this film. The lines are cheesy and some of the acting is a little wooden but the fight scenes are well made. While this is not the best film that has Chuck Norris in it, it is a good film to watch if you are a fan of his early work.

"A force of one" is more serious than the other Chuck Norris movies, but it's also very dull. The actors are above average, but the fighting sequences does not deliver much to applaud for. Seems more like a criminal than an action-movie. (4 out of 10)

i liked this early Chuck Norris flick, although interestingly,Jennifer O'Neill got top billing, not Chuck.it not a masterpiece or anything, but it's entertaining, and the acting is decent enough.the story is not completely original, but i liked what they did with it.they made it interesting enough.it's well paced and not boring.on a side note,Pat E. Johnson(martial arts choreographer on all four Karate Kid films, and Ninth Degree black belt under Chuck Norris)co wrote the story and has a cameo as a karate match referee.anyway,in my opinion, you could do a lot worse with eighty five minutes or so of your time.for me,A Force of One is a 6/10

I like a few Norris films and among them A Force of One is my favorite. Chuckie as the role of the USA karate champion like in real life, so it serves us specially to see Norris at his best (fighting performances). A Force of One has nice actors, GREAT martial arts scenes and funny expressions here and there. The flick is low-budget, but Norris' karate skills make us forget the fact and enjoy watching. The plot: Norris is Matt Logan karate champion+expert, who owns a karate school and kick boxes in the ring as well. Logan is asked to train police detectives because a mysterious criminal who is a martial arts expert(Bill Wallace)is killing cops. He makes relationship with a female cop(Jennifer Onniel) and together they try to find and stop that ninja killer. In my opinion it's one of Norris' best.

Low budget, wooden acting, and sappy make the basics for this film. Not awful as other Norris movies, but it is a stinker. The Karate fight at the end is ok, but the rest is boring. The Karate is not that much special now with all the other action films, and the part with his foster son is over the top sappy. Well not bad with what they had to work with.

Like my previous Chuck Norris film review, I also saw this one at a local drive in with a couple of neighbors. I can't remember too much of it, but do remember that it was entertaining in regards to a corrupt police investigation of some kind, something involving drugs, and, of course, martial arts. It was one of Chucks better flicks, and he showed some chops in the acting department, but I can't say that the film stuck with me all that much. Regardless, it was somewhat impressive. Ironically enough the one thing I remember about going to see this film was the preview for "The Villain", a western spoof. There's not much in the way of plot in this thing, but it has a decent enough emotional story. If you're into martial arts, and want to see Chuck Norris early in his career, give this film a try. Not a bad watch. Enjoy.

After just watching Chuck Norris' previous film, Good Guys Wear Black, I felt the need to watch his next one, A Force of One, just now. Here, he's a kickboxing fighter being recruited by the police to train their officers in his skills. Among those officers are Ron "Superfly" O'Neal and Jennifer "Summer of '42" O'Neill. The latter, Norris seems to take a shine to. I'll just say this was a little better than GGWB with a few more fight scenes and more of a fun vibe compared to the semi-serious predecessor. So I say, give A Force of One a look.
