In "A Day To Die" plays Bruce Willis the role of a city cop, who seems to be hiding some secrets under the façade of a caring man of the law. Kevin Dillon plays Connor, the main protagonist whose wife gets kidnapped, and he has to pay $2 million to a gang to get her back. The plot is thin but there are some nice action sequences. The CGI is one of the worst I have ever seen. Luckily there is Frank Grillo (Mason) starring as Connor's friends from the military, who also joins him on the heist. Another excellent acting performance from Leon, who plays Tyrone Pettis, the local gang leader. The beginning is really bad, botched action scenes, CGI and awful acting of Bruce Willis. The 2nd part of this movie is good, well executed action scenes and an always amazing Frank Grillo. However the performances of Bruce Willis are unexplainably bad throughout the whole movie. And to end this movie, there is really a nice plot twist. You like action movies and Frank Grillo, you have to see this one. A solid 6/10.

What's with the haters here? Such a good action packed movie. Bruce Willis as usual does his thing as did Kevin Dillion. We need more films like this. I'm giving this a 8.

Bruce Willis is barely in this movie and not a consequential part. Actors are fine pretty much all around, as is the production, but the story lacks imagination and it ends up being a pretty average action movie. Not recommended unless there's really nothing else available.

The story is so dumb it might only make sense in another dimension! The end is such a ridiculous twist it makes no sense to anyone with an IQ above 5. I would rate this movie a big fat ZERO but I like Grillo & Messner and Bruce too. I have seriously written better stories in primary than this! How high were the writers when they put this together and what were the producers on when they read the script! There is no way this movie will ever make a dollar of profit !!

Movie is utter trash, the editing is unbareable, cuts and effects constantly even when there is no action or need for them. Even the first scene where they go into the school and shoot, just awful to watch, effects and scenes are super bad. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! Its sad how decent(or good) actors get into movies this bad.

This one is so much better then the rest of the other films Bruce has been in of late. Good action, plenty of well cut chase scenes and really in all a well produced movie. If action is your thing you will like this.

What we have here is another pointless derivative cliched nonsense action flick with the same ole gunfights, but only this time, it had the added Telemundo soap-opera feel to it. Riddled with plot and technical issues, the 105 min runtime felt much longer, even with the decent pacing, due to all the filler and very little substance, with hardly any reward at the end. The two writers gave us the same predictable nonsense seen many times before - only better, and in what seemed like a cheap production value and investment for a B film. The score was too loud, overbearing and constant to the point of annoyance. The soundtrack however was decent, but not enough to overshadow the annoying score. Although not great, directing by novice Wes Miller was still much better than Brucey's past colabs with seasoned director James Cullen Bressack's flops. I will say that at least Brucey wasn't as asleep in this one compared to the last handful, although he still seemed like he missed acting classes. I feel really bad for Grillo and Dillon to have this nonsense on their resume - Grillo deserves more lead roles in A films. It's a generous 5/10 from me, moreso going to Grillo and Dillon, as well to Miller for some decent directing. Stay tuned and check back for our next edition of "Brucey's Monthly Lousy Movies".
