Jamie should be cast as the next James Bond! Canadian casting has its' advantages as we see fresh new faces! The plot was okay but the acting was believable!

All she had to do was observe Gavin and Liz to know that something was off. After a month, he's buying her jewelry, trips overseas, asking her to move in...restraining order much?! He also gave her daughter a really inappropriate gift (the guitar) seeing as how they didn't know him. He was so overbearing that I don't see how that one month was even blissful.
As typical for Lifetime, all the men are the worst thing ever, but it's overlooked how these women make crappy life choices. Nikki should have told Gavin to stop showing up at her house and her work whenever he wanted. I really did not like how they treated Dan, Anna's father and Liz's ex-husband. Going off no information and complete hearsay to keep him from his daughter. This actually made me sick. There's always some "protagonist" that injects their own opinions on someone they don't know and they get it wrong. It makes the lead much less sympathetic than I'm sure the writers intend them to be. And as usual, bad judgment gets innocents hurt.
I mean Nikki basically trusted Liz after no time at all. Just like she did Gavin. Meanwhile she's eavesdropping on all these arguments that Liz is having with everyone in her life. But like a dummy, Nikki shows terrible judgment and takes everything Liz says as gospel. I honestly cannot stand dumb protagonists. My level of acceptable naivete is Sandra Bullock in The Net. The only reason she's involved in any of this is due to her overly trusting nature. Did Liz deserve to be attacked and kidnapped? Of course not, but Nikki very clearly invited the drama of these people into her life after a day of being in town.
The twist of Liz giving Nikki conservatorship of Anna's inheritance? What? Why? Why are these women so clingy?
The lead actress was pretty bad and the deer in headlights look only added to her extreme gullibility. Liz, the friend reminded me of a mashup of Phylicia Rashad and Jasmine Guy. Gavin was a proper creep who again with terrible judgment went from creep to kidnapper and attempted murderer. I felt the most for Dan, Anna, and Brooke. They were the unlucky ones in this drama. The movie took quite a while to get going particularly since nothing here is a surprise. Literally nothing is surprising. Then in the climax Nikki doesn't even call the police while Gavin is doing his best Jack Torrance impression.
Not one of the better premieres but I finished it.

Not a bad lifetime movie and yet nothing to get excited about. I am not a law wxpert but I am pretty damn sure without a court order one cannot take guardianship of someone else's child! It is not the police's job to let someone have temporary custody! So basically what Nikki was doing was totally illegal especially not allowing Dan take his daughter when she clearly wanted to go with him! Liz was pretty stupid too to be honest! Alas, the ending was pretty good. Basically, Nikki is totally stupid and Liz is just unnecessarily mean and obnoxious!

Typical poor quality movie. Much like, but worse than, a Lifetime movie. Boring. Another poorly produced Canadian film.

I am giving 2 stars for casting a POC (unfortunately styled as a poor man's Halle Berry). Otherwise I hated this movie so much I needed to write why.
Lead actress: Not very good and her character was so dumb and pathetic. The puppy dog eyes throughout , all while the guy is clearly crazy and obsessive was just too much.
Gavin: An even worse actor than the woman. Again, the character was written so poorly and OTT.
A lot of the characters' behavior made no sense, the ending was laughable. I kept watching just to see how bad it could be! A new low for Lifetime.

This is typical and generic thriller made-for-TV flick about a new-in-town woman, whose friend and boss goes missing, and she suspects that her obsessive boyfriend might have something to do with it.
This movie uses the most predictable formula for its plot, so, there is really nothing new as far as surprises, twists, and suspense are concerned. However, the acting isn't half bad and the mystery surrounding the story's premises might grab your attention at least somewhat. While it's not award-winning material, it's not a bad, mindless movie to pass the time with. At least you don't have to overly use your brain to follow the story elements like you have to so much of these motion pictures that Hollywood dishes out nowadays.

Single mom Nikki Hansen and her daughter move to a new town and she meets divorced mom Liz Cole who she ends up working for. Nikki also meets Gavin, a coffee shop owner, who also dated Liz but they broke up because he was too possessive. Suddenly, Gavin sets his sight on Nikki and it's all downhill after Liz turns up missing. What happened to her? Movie has a lot of twists and turns but a good Canadian cast supports the movie, Jamie Spilchuk especially good as the "baddie". Highly recommended!

You would not miss anything by skipping this one.
Overall everything is mediocre at best. From production, acting, storyline, etc.
Watch something better.
