I loved the fact that Tessa/Bella was a woman mechanic and a pretty one too! I wish I had gotten some 'grease' education as well because then I might be able to troubleshoot and fix lots of my family's deadbeat cars. Maybe it's not too late to learn, but then I wonder how my nails would ever survive their femininity. I did help change the breaks on my very first car, but that was years ago and I doubt I could do it again all by myself. A woman can imagine though! So, back to the movie, I thought it was good. I would watch it again because the ending was a bit distracted when my family came home. It's a plain, cute, family film with not a lot of depth to it. I thought it was a Disney made-for-TV movie, but I looked and it was Warner Brothers and I watched it on the Freeform channel. I'd rather watch this than a low-budget B-rated movie that just makes no sense why it was put on film. At least it's a fantasy. Solid 6 star rating from me!

If only the didn't make the quite similar storyline with the 2nd and 3rd films, I mean i prefer this than the second one but i kinda dissapointed. Sofia is really great in here tho, her singing, dance and her fake accent lol. And the step mother is actually the funniest between all the step mothers in cinderella movies.

This is kind of different from the other installtments of Cinderella Story.
The evil stepmother is exhilarating, not as "evil" as the other films, I really laughed at most of her exaggerations, those were really funny and comedic, in their own silly way.
Sofia Carson, on the other hand, does a great job, as usual, we all know her.
She's got a great attitude and delivers some real feelings with her particular voice and her gorgeus dance moves and backstory.
Also, the chemistry with her and the loved one is palpable and sincere, which is never forgone, in minor romantic comedy music flicks.
You have to take movies like these as they are and enjoy them for WHAT they are, even if not a masterpiece.
So, it's not a 10 out of 10 but it's nice and light, nevertheless.
I give it a 6.

I honestly really enjoyed this installment in the Cinderella Stories. Sofia Carson is an amazing singer along with Thomas Law. When they sang you could just hear and feel how well connected they were. They harmonized terrifically together. The story was fun and the acting was decent. Sofia's and Thomas' characters were a beautiful pairing. The love story between them was better than most. I loved that he fell in love with the real her and not the disguised her. The comedy was actually funny and made me laugh more than I thought I would.
Definitely give this movie a try!

Say what you will about this film, it was a nice twist on the classic Cinderella that features an up and coming talent that has all of the factors your looking for in a star. She's stunning, she has a beautiful voice, and is a talented dancer. She was what made this movie special to me.

This movie is bad. But it is bad in a way that makes it good to watch.
I watched this not expecting much but was laughing most of the way through, around 50% of that was laughing at actual jokes (a fair few of them aren't bad) but the rest was laughing at how stupid the action is (For example, Reed has his hand conveniently stop covering his mic backstage when he announces he loves Tessa).
Thomas Law does a good job despite everything, and the two girls who play the step sisters are funny to watch consistently. Sofia isn't amazing (she isn't as bad as some think in my opinion though). She certainly holds her own against the other Cinderellas in the series as she is good.
The soundtrack is a generic pop soundtrack, which works with the setting but isn't quite what I like (especially considering the nice acoustic 'Stuck on the Outside' get turned into a poppy mess in the soundtrack). As poppy as it is, it works when watching, but if you listen out of the movie, it sounds like any generic pop song out there.
The plot is predictable (as it is A Cinderella Story) but it has a nice story all the same, with the best thing being that Reed (the pop star) falls in love with the seemingly ordinary Tessa instead of her glamorous (and British) 'Hannah Montana' style disguise Bella.
The choreography in the movie is actually quite impressive at times (Reed and Tessa/Bella dancing during her audition is actually a good scene. Other times it cuts to much to really be able to tell, but not as much as a Marvel fight scene for example.
A good story, but in a bad plot. Quite a shame as with their talent, the Cinderella tale, the general musical-ness, some of the jokes the writers have, the choreography (especially with the director being a choreographer) they could of made a good movie (difficult but a potential 7.5-8)
It is worth watching once, but only if you need a laugh would I recommend watching it again, and you don't have anything else. A 6/10 as it is not quite 'good' standard if you take it seriously, but if you take it lightly then it automatically seems a lot better.
