This movie is the worst of all the psychological thrillers ever made. 3 hours of nonstop mental torture. No storyline, no plot and no entertainment. The director tried to experiment with the audience's mind! Except for few background scores, there is nothing in this movie which keeps you off from falling asleep. It's a shame that back in India these kind of senseless, stupid movies, while there is immense talent lying in the country and previously awesome psychological thrillers like ghajini, 13B, aparichithudu, etc have done wonderful business in India and have become biggest blockbusters of all time! I am shocked to see that great Hollywood movies like inception and dark knight have presided over this movie. Can't believe it! It looks like mahesh babu fans have intentionally created fake ratings in support of this movie, which is doing very bad back in India and has received mostly poor ratings from Indian websites and also very poor box office collections. IMDb please consider websites ratings rather than individual user ratings because fans are more in number compared to websites. And not all fans of all actors log onto IMDb to rate a movie! Movie ratings are better left alone for the movie critics and not the users!

It's an 'okay' movie. I loved the cinematography but stunts were somewhat 'unreal', I would say. I'd love if someone would explain how he can remember faces of the villains if they had their monkey caps on. I may have missed something. I don't like the way the villains are shown in Telugu movie industry.. that continued even in this movie. Why should they be so creepy? Comparing it with Hollywood movies is okay but comparing it with 'Inception' is too much! I'd say it is on par with average Hollywood movies. i'd suggest people to watch Hollywood movies before comparing, with all due respect. Acting of everyone was 'okay'. Mahesh did as much as he did in Dookudu. Improved a bit but not as much people are hyping about. Kriti was good but at times seemed like she was over acting. BGM was good but no songs were required according to the script but this TFI and songs are part and parcel of it. Story was little but was twisted so much without content that it bored me! I'd give it a 1/10 considering it as a Hollywood movie.

High Expectations..Mahesh On a Roll with continuous hits..Sukumar's styling and story line..yea will keep you high on expectations.! But, this movie is "once in a hundred year" thriller, with stunning stunts and mind-blowing twists that keep your brain active and make you think.. A brave attempt combined with Mahesh performance , DSP music, Kirti Sanon beautiful camera friendly face, clever screenplay, intelligent cinematography is never before seen in a Telugu cinema.! Sukumar has done a decent job in placing the twists and turns at the right places and his emphasis on psychological elements is commendable. interval bang is mind-blowing and the ways in which the movie plays with your brain is a fantastic.! Don't expect anything and you wont be disappointed.! 1st half is nicely paced with required essentials..and songs are pretty good too. 2nd half is a bit slow and by the time you think its over..guess what? not yet!

This flick has genre from action entertainer.. Needless to say inspired from Hollywood action sequences and innovative approach in story telling.. For this kind of project, screenplay will be key for success of the movie. This Director lacks in screenplay n story telling and the movie looses its grip as it progresses.. You need not be expert in matching Hollywood style taking, but you have to tell some good story, so that people will understand. Afterall technical values are good to have and Hollywood style is good to have, but whichever the way you adopt or tell, you need to be clear esp. for this genre of movies. Director might have given his best shot n the Actors sure did their part. Parts of the movie is good n excellent... But on the whole ITS JUST ONE MORE TELUGU INDUSTRY MOVIE

One. Nenokkadine! The only tollywood movie I have seen with a genuine story and a cocktail of action and art. Mahesh Babu's action once again marks his genius in the field of fine arts. The movie itself was a beautiful ride- a ride I had when watching movies like A beautiful mind, The borne series, Inception, etc. For all my stupid eccentric hypocritical and unfathomably dumb friends who didn't like/understand the movie, Grow up and watch with an open mind. I understand the plot takes a great deal of mental abilities to comprehend. If you fail to comprehend it, I suggest you take Omega-3 supplements. Thanks! I personally think "One" qualifies to be called the "Inception of tollywood".

The film is almost three hours long, which is another letdown. Because, who has that sort of patience to watch a film without comedy or entertainment. Wait aren't comedy and entertainment one and the same? Ideally, a film like '1′ has no place in our psyche because it doesn't pander to what we expect from films. So why was it made in first place, especially if people like you and me don't understand what the * is going on? Questions like this are bound to bounce in your mind like a pinball, if you actually have the patience or care to think about the film long after you have watched it. Why? Why? Why? Like one knowledgeable person once said, "We get the films we deserve." And '1′, like most people will point out, isn't that sort of film. That's perhaps why it must be watched, analysed and judged based on its own merits. Not the sort of film you must keep on a balance, because the weight of our collective conscience will always tilt the fulcrum in favour of what we expect, but not what the film is trying to say. Incidentally, the film's fundamental theme applies to our perception about the film. It's good if you believe in it and it's one big fat lie if you refuse to be swept away by the narration. There's so much to like about the film, especially in terms of how Gautham's (Mahesh Babu) characterisation is portrayed. The beauty, and I'm speaking strictly in terms of writing, lies in its writing and how well director Sukumar sets up the story in the first place. Why does Gautham, a rockstar, live all by himself? Why doesn't he have any friends? He's bit of a loner throughout the film and he has a big problem trusting someone. Forget all that, he can't trust even his own instincts because he's told repeatedly that he has been hallucinating all his life – about his life, his past and his parents.

first of all I'm not a big fan of MAHESH BABU though i like him as a hard worker , I'm shocked after watching the movie ... its unbelievable awesome direction and screen play is fantastic , this is the best any director can do , really director SUKUMAR has done an intelligent and excellent job. the biggest negative for the film is , the Telugu people cant understand the film especially those who are not aware of English movies.this is the biggest drawback hope it gets profits in oversea at least.I kindly request those who want to watch this amazing flick, don't listen to the people who saw the film judge it by your self... this is one of the best film ever made in Telugu film industry

"Contains Spoiler" This movie is a mixed copy of the movies "A Beautiful Mind" and "Bourne Identity" series. The character of the Hero in this movie was designed by mixing both the heroes characters from the mentioned movies. Some part of the taking of action scenes was copied from "Bourne Series", Wanted (English) where he jumps from the building breaking the glass onto the sniper and underwater scenes taking from I, Robot where his car fell into the river from the bridge. Even though the director tried his best, he failed to clarify some parts of the movie, he failed to present the movie effectively and clearly.

I don't know why everyone says that this movie will revolutionize TFI. IMHO, this movie is lame. TFI has produced some excellent movies in it's history and people exalting "1" as a good movie simply breaks my heart. This movie lacked a solid story line. Gautham's character was erratic. I wish they had spent more time on developing the hero's character instead of using clichéd situations to make him look awesome- like making him a rock star. How did an orphan become a rock star, that too in India? I think someone in the movie staff lost their touch with reality. I also wish they showed us more about hero's psychological disability. It was hacked halfway through. How disappointing for a "psychological" thriller. Wait, "psychological thriller", because I don't think it's much of a thriller either. I was not thrilled at the development of the story any where. I think they included their movie in this genre merely 'cause they believed it to be. And before, the blind fans (of hero, director and heroine) start accusing me of bias and tell me that this movie is really one of a kind, let me remind you of movies like "Anand" (example of a neat romance), "Anasuya" (example of a thriller movie with strong story line), "Nandanavanam 120 Km" (excellent psychological thriller with good story and characters) and many others. Also, they could have worked more on heroine's role in the movie. Even if she wasn't there (any journalist character would have sufficed to make the video)we wouldn't lose much. A useless character who excelled at annoying the audience when she wasn't showing any skin (We all agree she was beautiful). The movie crew lost their touch with reality in a lot of scenes. Few examples would be: 1. Insanely impossible fight scenes in the beginning (TFI likes exaggerating, so let's excuse that) 2. Assassination with truck coming in the opposite direction in a one way lane. 3. Hero kills people almost every where he goes. But no one sees or complains. It is not India, so why is any one not complaining? 4. He kills a number of body guards and the CEO of a big research facility. I'm sure he is recorded in the cameras. So, why was he not apprehended. 5. He remembers the song his mom taught him, why has no one noticed that it's an extremely long walk to his house. No kid can walk that long. 6. Don't his parents have relatives who might have looked for them or him? 7. So many people died. I think if hero got killed, all those people would have lived. He's an orphan anyway. No one would miss him compared to those 10's of people with families. And, even if the company monopolized the seeds, sooner or later, other people will have caught up to the technology, that is how research field works. No harm done. It would have helped people eventually, although villains would have made a lot of money. And I have a lot more, but well, I think I made my point.
